The history.

Originally developed in the early 1980s, the Ferrari Testarossa is one of the most iconic supercars ever. Borrowing its name from the famous Le Mans-winning 250 Testa Rossa, the new model had huge shoes to fill as it was also positioned towards Lamborghini’s mid-engine V12 model. In the end, the Testarossa proved successful, Ferrari went on to sell over 10,000 units of the original Testarossa offering minor improvements each model year before a full refresh in 1992. From 1992 Forward, the Testarossa would be known as the 512 TR - and finally in 1995, a proper send off for the Testarossa, the F512 M.

The one-year only model F512 M marked the end of the Testarossa model as a whole. Total production of the 512 M would be just 501, making it one of the rarest Modern Ferraris ever. For the final year, a host of upgrades were applied over the outgoing TR, such as a more powerful and lighter flat-12 engine, open headlights, an amazing set of 512 M-specific wheels, and revised bodywork.

The excellent 1995 Ferrari F512 M presented here, by Animoya Garage, is one of just 501 examples built for the world. It is finished in Rosso Corsa over a full Black interior, and displays just 46,000KM from new.

Much of the earlier history of this F512 M is unknown however based on service records we have available, we do know the car spent time in Japan from at least 2020 until 2025 when it was imported into the United States. From what we were able to decipher from the service records is that many normal services such as fluid changes were completed. The total of the records equalled to just under $15,000 converted from Yens over the period from 2020 to 2022.

In preparation for this sale we went ahead with a comprehensive service which included oil, coolant flush, brake fluid, gearbox fluid, transmission fluid, and a set of brand new Michelin Pilot Sport tires. We also went ahead with an extensive detail and paint correction.

This F512 M represents a rare opportunity to acquire one of Ferrari’s rarest modern models at just 501 units ever produced while also marking the very end of the Flat-12 engine. In many ways, this final model rectified many of the annoying problems some of the early Testarossas had. Ferrari truly got this one right & gave it the legendary model a proper send off.
