In 2003, Lamborghini unveiled the Gallardo at the Geneva Auto Show as an entry level model to slot just underneath the flagship Murcielago. The model was created to capture the same drama of its larger, heavier older sibling, while providing a more usable, less cumbersome package to buyers.
They achieved this by using a smaller aluminum chassis, with a smaller, but no less potent V-10 engine which produced 500 horsepower and a standard all-wheel-drive system which aided in their incredibly low 0-60 times for the early 2000s.
This wasn't a new formula for Lamborghini, as in the 1970s they produced the Urraco, and in the 1980s, the Jalpa. By the early 2000s, a similar model was long overdue and the market spoke to this. The Gallardo quickly became Lamborghini's best selling model. Over the course of its entire decade-long run, they produced over 14,000 examples.
The 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo presented here, by Animoya Garage, is finished in Giallo Midas over a full Nero interior with body-colored interior trim. It also has other desirable options such as an alcantara steering wheel, front-axle-lift, headrest crests, and a rear camera.
Originally delivered to Prestige Imports of North Miami, Florida, this Gallardo spent its first couple of years and 11,000 miles in Florida with its first owner who had Prestige handle all service related items. It was then sold to a dealer on the western side of the state in Ruskin, FL. The Gallardo would change hands through a handful of dealers in Florida and California, all with services documented throughout its history; about 42 pages worth. In 2011, it made its way to California where Lamborghini Newport Beach purchased the car and sold it to the previous owner. Lamborghini of Beverly Hills looked after the car maintenance wise from then on, performing various services such as new brakes, new alternator, and more.
In 2023, after purchasing the Gallardo, the current owner went ahead with a large service at Raging Bull Performance in Costa Mesa, CA which included a brand new OEM clutch and fresh oil change for a grand total of $13,683. Additionally, a new battery and starter were fitted in 2026. A few of the body-colored interior pieces were wrapped mat black as the owner opted for a more subdued interior look that is easily reversible. Only about 220 miles have been added to the car since the new clutch was installed. In preparation for the sale, the current owner had a pre-purchase inspection completed that is viewable in our documentation link. Based on the findings, a large service was completed which included an oil and filter change, new alternator belt, replacement of the old weeping steering rack and new tie rod ends, and replacement of the E-Gear accumulator. The grand total was $4,370.
Today, this Gallardo displays just over 38,300 miles and presents in very good condition, even better than the mileage would suggest. After surveying the market of 2000s Italian mid-engine coupes, we are noticing an uptick in buyers opting for the more usable models in each manufacturer's line up and we see the Gallardo following the trends of the 360 and F430. With the dip in all of these cars' values in the 2010s, many fell into the hands of less careful owners, making this well-serviced example a rare fine.
