The turbo-charged 911 dates all the way back to 1975 and has been a mainstay in the road-going Porsche lineup ever since. In 2006, shortly after the brand new 997 generation of 911 was released, at the Geneva Motor Show Porsche unveiled the brand 911 Turbo.
Immediately well-received due to its revised styling from the outgoing 996, the new 911 Turbo also introduced a host of upgrades on the performance side as well. Firstly, the 3.6L Flat-six was revised to make 480hp, a 65hp jump from the previous generation and just about matching the 0-60 time of the mighty Carrera GT. Additionally, each Turbo was fitted with a wider and more aggressive body to accompany a wider track and wheels.
The highly-optioned 2007 Porsche 911 Turbo presented by Animoya Garage is finished in GT Silver over a full special-order Cocoa brown interior with Aluminum-look trim options. This Tiptronic transmission example shows a low 44,800 miles from new and is equipped with the desirable Porsche Carbon Ceramic Brake option.
Originally delivered to Beverly Hills Porsche in late 2006, this 911 Turbo spent its first 28,000 miles in California with its first owner. Records indicate proper routine services throughout their ownership, mostly done at their home store in Beverly Hills, and when it wasn't, it was always a proper Porsche Store. In 2012, the Turbo was sold to another California based owner who continued its record of meticulous ownership with routine servicing at Porsche stores only. Over the next 7 years, it would change hands several times, spending time in Indiana and Texas.
In 2019, the current consignor acquired this 997 Turbo and immediately completed a large $11,000 service at Moorespeed in Austin, Texas. This service included a full engine out examination of the motor, replacement shocks and front axles, Sharkwerks cooling tubes, an EVOM engine tune, a fresh oil and coolant change, and more. Since then, it has remained in Sante Fe, New Mexico at their private residence, only being driven on occasion as they've only added roughly 5,000 miles since purchase.
Today, the car has just 44,800 miles and runs fantastic, making great power. Ahead of the sale, we went ahead with a fresh detail and a new OEM plastic front lip. Included in the sale of the 2007 911 Turbo are service records, books and manuals, compressor, tools, and Carfax.
