After the success of McLaren’s proper return to road cars in almost 2 decades, they decided to create a more approachable ‘entry level’ option into the line up. This model was dubbed the 570S, and it marks their first model in their “Sports Series” line up, slotting just below the 650S. The 570S was built on their MonoCell ll carbon fiber tub and shared a detuned version of the 3.8 liter twin-turbo V8 found in the 650S
In 2018, McLaren utilized the legendary “Long Tail” moniker for only the 4th time in the company's history with the introduction of the 600LT. The 600LT built off of the 570S and made it a more track-ready model. McLaren added a larger and longer front splitter with larger intakes in the bumper, forged alloy wheels, 30 more horsepower, and of course, extended body work which measured to 74mm longer than the standard 570S. Additionally, McLaren did away with much of the sound deadening and other unnecessary materials to save weight and pulled roughly 210lbs from the base car.
In total, McLaren would build just 375 600LT coupes for the North American market, making these a relative performance bargain in the market place compared to its counterparts like the 458 Speciale and Huracan Performante, beating both in terms of raw speed.
The 2019 McLaren 600LT presented here, by Animoya Garage, is finished in the stunning Chicane Effect Grey over a Black Interior with Orange Accents and the iconic McLaren P1 seats. It has just 21,000 miles and only three owners from new and shows a high MSRP of $293,000
Originally delivered to a dealer in New York, this 600LT stayed with its first owner until January of 2021 when it was traded into a notable dealer in the North East with roughly 10,637 miles. From there it was sold to a private individual local to us in Metro Detroit. They serviced it at Suburban Exotic Motorcars of Troy, Michigan at the recommended intervals. In July of 2022, it was sold to a dealer in Chicago with roughly 19,000 miles and later that year was sold to its 3rd and current owner in December.
The current owner and consignor took delivery of the LT in December of 2022 and promptly sent the car to Cannonball Garage in Gilberts, IL. At this time, Cannonball carried out a host of upgrades such as down pipes and a tune with anti-lag, Unobtanium McLaren race exhaust, CSO McLaren spark plugs, and CSO McLaren P13 lowering springs.
Today, this 600LT presents in great condition with newly applied PPF, good service history and great modifications. On the road, it still drives like a ‘normal’ supercar, but amplified in all the right ways. McLaren built just 375 coupes for the North American market looking at its main competitor in period the Huracan Performante, LT presents as bargain with nearly a $100,000 average difference in sale costs.
