With In 2015, Ford brought back the famed GT350 namesake, which had been unused since Carroll Shelby’s GT350 was unveiled to the world 50 years earlier. Ford was sure to do right by the name, and packed the mustang with their “Voodoo V8” which is flat-plane crank motor that makes 526hp and revs to over 8,000rpms. All GT350s came with bigger brakes over the standard Mustang GT, more aggressive chassis tuning, suspension tuning, and specific Recaros with more carbon fiber and suede spread throughout the interior. Additionally, an “R” variant was offered which added carbon fiber wheels, a carbon fiber wing, and a rear seat delete.
In 2020, to send off the S550 generation of Mustang, Ford built approximately 278 ‘Heritage’ models based on the GT350R. All of the Heritage models would wear the same Wimbledon White paint and Guardsmen Blue stripes in an identical livery to the original.
Presented by Animoya Garage, is this special, one-owner, 2020 Mustang GT350R Heritage Edition displaying just 1,590 miles from new.
This particular GT350R was purchased new by its original owner from Chapman Ford in New Jersey. It is finished in Wimbledon White with Guardsmen Blue Stripes and livery as all Heritage models are. It is also wearing its 19-inch carbon fiber wheels still wrapped their original Michelin Cup 2 tires. There are a handful of optional add-ons on top of the Heritage Package such as the Technology Package which features an upgraded sound system by Bang & Olufsen and extra safety systems, Exposed Carbon Interior Package, and a full vehicle cover.
This GT350R Heritage Edition is about as fresh as it gets, showing just 1,590 miles being maintained by its sole owner for 5 years. This example appears to be unmodified with all of its original equipment still on the vehicle including its original tires. The owner really cherished this car as evidenced by the various trophies from local car shows that he won with the car. As a testament to his care and love of the car, he saved all of the original plastic wrappings and delivery day documents which will go along with the new owner.
As it stands, this is maybe the greatest modern Mustang ever produced. With over 500hp and an 8,250rpm redline it is like no other muscle or pony car before it and truly gives that “exotic” feel that many American cars miss out on. The GT350 also features the Tremec 6-speed manual which is a huge improvement over the standard GT, and mates perfectly with the motor while the S550 chassis is a well known winner. Additionally, this particular example is essentially brand new, wearing its original paint and showing virtually no wear anywhere on the car.
Upon purchase, the new owner will receive the Ford Performance Owner’s Supplement Box, factory books, original window sticker, and even the original plastic protective wrappings that covered the car when it was new.
