ABOUT PHIL

Born and raised in Holland, Michigan, Phil Knudsen grew up immersed in automotive culture from an early age. Raised in a true car family, he credits his parents for instilling a lifelong passion for automobiles. His first job was sweeping floors and sandblasting parts at Eclectic Motor Works in Holland, Michigan.

Phil has spent the past 20 years in Colorado, where he attended Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat Springs and earned an Associate’s Degree in Hospitality. His career has spanned nearly every corner of the automotive world, including parts sales, service advising, collection management, and most importantly, sales! This broad experience gives Phil a well-rounded, practical understanding of both the mechanical and human sides of the collector car market.

As lifelong enthusiast and collector himself, Phil specializes in air-cooled Porsche, vintage Indy cars, classic American hot rods, Alfa Romeo Giulietta and Giulia models, as well as Austin-Healey, Jaguar, Lancia, Ferrari, and Mercedes—ranging from vintage icons to present-day models. He has attended many of the world’s most respected automotive events, including the Colorado Grand (twice), Pebble Beach, The Quail, Goodwood Revival, Rennsport Reunion, The Race of Gentlemen, and Retromobile.

Phil began working with Adolfo Massari in 2014, and the two have been close friends ever since. To Phil, the most important part of this business is trust, transparency, and long-term connection.

As he puts it:

“You’re not buying a car—you’re buying a relationship.”

“It’s a passion and a lifestyle before a business.”

Now engaged and living with his two dogs, Phil brings both professionalism and genuine enthusiasm to every client interaction, always focused on building lifelong relationships within the collector car community.
